Herbal Bath Gives The Pet A Real Freshness.
To start the herbal bath, first wash the neck to stop the fleas to jump up to the head during the whole body bath. Be very attentive as you probably see several fleas coming off and floating around in the water. Use special shampoo formulated for dogs that contains a percentage of acid that kills fleas, you may find some fleas on the pet just pick them up.
A special herbal flea dip (for hot day only) can be made easily by adding two cups of fresh rosemary leaves in two pints of water. Boil the mixture for thirty minutes then discard the leaves and add the liquid up to a gallon of warm water, the mixture is then to be poured over your pet until saturated. Do not rinse off, but allow the pet to air dry. Add 2 to 3 drops of the lemon mixture under your pet’s collar in order to keep fleas off.
After your pet is dry comb it with specially designed flea comb, in order to get rid of persistent ones that remain. Also brush all over their skin.
Take the pet’s collar to make it a Flea collar by putting on drops of Eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil, citronella, lavender, or geranium on weekly basis.
